From the Snow Moon to the Stars: Speaking Your Spirit

Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction.

Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Valentine’s Day—love it or loathe it—is just around the corner on 14th February, following our second Full Moon of the year on the 12th. The day itself has ancient roots, tracing back to Rome’s Lupercalia, a fertility festival celebrated on 15th February. Later, it became linked to St. Valentine, a 3rd-century priest who secretly performed marriages and was executed on 14th February. By the Middle Ages, it was associated with romantic love, inspired by the belief that birds began mating in mid-February.

The first recorded Valentine was a poem written in 1415 by Charles, Duke of Orléans, and by the 19th century, exchanging cards, flowers, and gifts had become a widespread tradition. When I worked in telecoms many moons ago, our annual bonuses were always paid on Valentine’s Day—something that always amused me!

A Busy Start to the Year

How has your year started? Mine has been full of exciting projects, including the launch of Cacao, Colour, and Conversation evenings, the Copper Journey, and recording my talk for the Foundation of Colour Summit (more on that below!).

I’m also planning more Expansion through Colour workshops—one in the UK and another in Calgary, Canada. If you’re interested, please let me know. Later in the year, I’ll be guiding two groups through Colour Mirrors Practitioner Training, one in person (UK) and one online. If this speaks to you, please reach out.

To keep my own cup full, I’ve started working with an Energy Healer, continued exploring TRE (Trauma Release Exercise), and enrolled in Legacy Creative’s Make It Clear course— all fabulous in their very different ways.

The Snow Moon - 12th February

The second Full Moon of the year is known as the Snow Moon, named for the heavy snowfall of February in Native American and European traditions. Some tribes also called it the Hunger Moon or Bony Moon, reflecting the difficulties of winter.

This year’s Snow Moon falls in Leo, a fire sign associated with creativity, self-expression, and leadership. This alignment encourages you to embrace your unique talents and share them confidently with the world.

Exploring Sun and Moon Alignment

Continuing the connection between Human Design and Colour Mirrors, this Full Moon sees the Sun in Gate 49, line 5.

Gate 49 Revolution.  Principles: The Rebel.  Emotion abolishes the “old” in the interest of supporting a “new” that is aligned with particular principles.  Any revolution brings a wave of change that must be times rightly and be felt to be practical to have lasting merit.  A “No!” Reaction evolves to Revolution evolves to the Rebel. Gate 49 is a trans-special bridge that attunes with mammals.

Line 5 – Being Sentient: The inner feeling for the rightness of changes.  Sincerely aligning with your truth, or simply being opportunistic, you enrich or deplete society.

The corresponding Colour Mirrors Bottle is the Throat Chakra – I Speak My Spirit:

“This bottle is a mixture of the blue of communication and the violet of spirituality. Its message is that once you awaken to your spirit you automatically begin to communicate from a higher perspective. Become aware of what you say and how you say it because you have the power to manifest what you speak. This bottle connects you with your intuition and helps you appreciate the perfection of each moment.”

Book Corner

I’m always fascinated by the similarities across different spiritual traditions.

Each of us finds our own truth, often with help from wise teachers. A beautiful resource for daily wisdom is: The Tao of Joy Every Day by Derek Lin. This book offers timeless, uplifting insights—a great way to start each day positively!

As the saying goes: “Where attention goes, energy flows.” Last month, I mentioned my guiding word for 2025: ENERGY and invited you to share yours. Thank you to those who replied who offered EXEMPLIFYHARMONY, and another vote for ENERGY. I love them all—can I have three words for 2025?!

28th February: A Rare Planetary Alignment

As you know, this year I’m following the Full Moon cycle, as lunar energies are strongest at these times. Typically, the New Moon is a time to set intentions, while the Full Moon invites us to release what no longer serves us—including self-forgiveness.

A special moment to set or reaffirm intentions comes on 28th February, when a rare planetary alignment will occur, featuring Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. This is a powerful time to focus on your goals for 2025. Such alignments are rare—the next one won’t happen until October 2028.

Discover the revolutionary world of colour—where innovation meets consciousness!

If you haven’t signed up for The Power of Colour Summit, I highly recommend it! This online event runs for three days, with a 48-hour replay (or lifetime access if you choose VIP).

My talk explores finding your personal energy signature through Human Design and Colour Mirrors. You’ll find it in the replay or VIP section, as I’ll be traveling to Bali at the time—an exciting first for me! Huge thanks to the Foundation of Colour for making it possible for me to still participate as a speaker.

Final Thoughts

Wherever you are, may February bring you clarity, contentment, and connection.

What will you let go of under the Snow Moon?
What intentions will guide your 2025?

As always, I’d love to hear from you.

Wishing you peace and joy,
